WALLTERIORS is a US Company. Our Design studio, manufacturing facility and offices are located in Palm Springs California. Lead Designers and owners of WALLTERIORS, Hector Romero and Christopher Obeji are very excited to present to the design community, and ultimately their design clients, with our exclusive value driven line of eco friendly hand crafted wall treatments. We offer multitudes of creative options like Free Custom Color Services and Free Cutting Services where, at no charge, WALLTERIORS will professionally cut your yardage into standard size squares, rectangles, torn pieces or panels for custom installations that are the rage with all of our clients. With these services combined with our exciting designs we answer the very important question that arises in every project "What should I do to the walls?"

Both Hector and Christopher have past professional experience in Interior and wall covering Design, Manufacturing and Sales. Together they have combined these experiences and talents and are able to "deliver the goods" with the designers success as first priority. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail. Our goal is to maintain a relationship with our client built on complete satisfaction, start to finish!

Another big player in our company is our VP / corporate Sales Manager Sanford ("Sandy") Yester. His experiences in Sales and Finance provide the finishing touch to a team of professionals that thrive on always being positive and having a can-do attitude.

Finally our talented lead artisan, Hector Castro, wasrecognized and personally mentored by our own creative director 11 years ago. "Castro" has the creative talent and organizational skills required to acquire this position. "Castro" and his assistants hand make all of our beautiful high quality designs in our own studio. They have a great deal of passion and pride in there work. The results are beautiful works of artful wall covering that has created a renaissance in wall covering and a quickly growing repeat client base that has used WALLTERIORS in all expressions of design including residential, hospitality, commercial and now Green projects.

How it is sold: Wallteriors offers three design and price categories. Guild by Wallteriors, Wallteriors and Solutions by Wallteriors.

Guild by Wallteriors: Sold by square yard increments. Hand made to order in 3, 4, and 5 sq. yds. panels. 32 yd. minimum. Panel width is 36"; trimming may be required on some titles. All Guild Designs are priced the same.

Prices do not include installation or shipping. The word Guild by WALLTERIORS is noted on samples.

NEW Wallteriors: Sold by square yard increments. Hand made to order 3 to10 sq. yd. quantities, 3sq yds. minimum.

Overage calculation: For floor to ceiling installations include doors and windows to the total yardage and then add 10% for overlap and waste. If panels are the exact size of the wall, round up to the next yard.

When installing in pieces in squares or rectangles: exclude doors and windows and add 10% to the total yardage for overlap and waste, torn random pieces or torn edge: add 20% to the total yardage.

Complimentary Cutting Service: WALLTERIORS will cut into standard size squares, rectangles, panels and torn random pieces. Materials are pre cut and finished by our studio artisans for ease during installation and a professional finish. Non conventional installations are encouraged! Edge options are hand torn and stained edge or straight edge.

Note: Due to limitations of some designs, not all designs can be cut in standard shapes or may offer only a straight edge option.

NEW Complimentary Custom Color option: Select any color from the existing line, or your favorite name brand paint company with no up charge. Minimum 15 sq yards. $150.00 minimum up charge for less than 15 sq yds.

NEW Custom color strike off charge: Net: $100.00 each. 100% credited back when custom order is placed.

Minimum 15 sq. yards. This strike off pricing applies only with a specified paint color from the existing color pallet in any of WALLTERIORS collections or number or chip from a name brand paint company is specified by customer. Adjustments to strike off: Net: $75.00 each, 50% credited back with custom order. All strike offs made for approval will be 36 sq " and require two weeks to produce. Sample will be sent via UPS Ground anywhere in the continental US unless specified.

Color match strike off charge: Net: $250.00 each, to match color(s) in fabrics or other materials provided by customer. i.e., anything not a paint color, number or chip from a name brand paint company. No credit given back.

Adjustments to strike off:Net: $75.00 each. No credit given back. All strike offs made for approval will be 36sq ". Strike offs require two weeks to produce. Sample will be sent via UPS Ground unless specified.

Turn Around Time: Production time on all standard orders is 5 to 6 weeks. Large orders, please call. Custom orders require 5 weeks from strike off approval.

In a Hurry? Three week "rush" orders are possible on standard orders. (20% up charge): per rush yard2.

Minimum Rush Charge $150.00. Custom orders will be evaluated to determine rush option available.

Fire Rating: WALLTERIORS offers ASTM E-84 / Class 1 or A fire rating for requiring projects. Due to the non green aspect of all flame retardants, we do not apply unless requested. No charge.

Wearability: All WALLTERIORS have standard ASTM F-793 / Category VI, Type II rating for washability: ASTM F-793 / Category V, Type II rating for scrubability. Suitable for residential, commercial, and hospitality. The delicate look of our products is deceiving. All of our wallcoverings are cleanable with mild cleansers and a sponge or soft rag. Another terrific maintenance aspect of WALLTERIORS is the multitude of installation ideas we offer. One may apply our products in squares, rectangles, panels and even torn pieces. These unique installations have the added benefit of allowing a damaged area to be very simply papered right over in the most economical way without sacrificing the beauty of the installation. One only fixes the spot, not the entire wall! These types of installations also minimize overages required for conventional installations. WALLTERIORS also provides a complimentary touch-up kit with every domestic order. We also recommend ordering extra to ensure complete coverage and to save any scraps after your installation for any future maintenance.

Shipping: All shipments are paid by customer. Unless shipping instructions are specified, WALLTERIORS will specify carrier. WALLTERIORS will, upon request, obtain estimated shipping charges from shipping companies.

Handling charges: All shipments will be charged a $16.00 handling fee per box, plus shipping charges.

All shipment outside the continental United States will be charged an additional $35.00 processing fee per order.

Damage In Transit: All goods are thoroughly inspected prior to packing for shipment. All goods are carefully packaged to ensure the safest possible delivery. The consignee must sign for goods and inspect prior to shipping. The delivery party is responsible for damage (concealed or visible) occurring in transit or at time of delivery. If goods arrive damaged, request an inspection from the shipping company immediately. Keep all boxes and packing materials. Only the consignee can file a claim after the shipment has been made. Shipping is FOB WALLTERIORS studios.

Quality Control: Handcrafted wall coverings are not made on a printing press. One may expect natural color and texture variations that make this type of wall covering unique to each project. We strive to match samples. Expect a 15% variation from each order. All quantities are pre-counted and noted before shipment. Inspect all orders immediately upon delivery. No recourse on materials that have been cut, installed or in any way modified, or materials which have been delivered and in customer possession for more than 7 days. See installation instructions for more specific details on color and texture variations.

Acknowledgements: All orders will be produced exactly as invoiced. Carefully review your invoice and contact WALLTERIORS with any changes or corrections. Orders will be scheduled for production and completed within the time window noted on the final invoice. No orders will be scheduled for production without all salient information at hand. This information includes shipping instructions, deposit, specified finishes and approvals.

Cancellations: Cancellations will not be accepted after the order has been entered into production. Cancellations will be accepted only before production has begun. There is a 25% handling charge for such cancellations.

No Returns: Only under special circumstances and with written approval from WALLTERIORS, will returns be accepted. The purchaser is responsible for return shipping and packaging charges. WALLTERIORS will not accept COD shipments for any reason. In the event merchandise is returned to correct a manufacturing defect, the purchaser will be reimbursed for incurred shipping expenses. Due to the fact that all products are hand made to order, NO REFUNDS.

Choice of shade material:

Customize your handmade fixture with your choice of any Wallteriors paper designs! Please note that certain Wallteriors titles will allow more light to pass through your fixture than others, we'll be happy to review your choices with you.

Metal Finish:

The iron frame of your Studiobg fixture is offered in a natural look rust finish, white or black (custom finishes available) and sealed with hand rubbed beeswax.

Turn Around Time:

6-8 week production time.

ECO Conscious, Earth Friendly:

The steel frames are handmade by local metal smiths. Our beautiful finishes and hand rubbed natural beeswax sealer is applied to protect the metals. The shade materials are artfully painted and applied by hand. The shade materials are created from recycled materials and hand painted with non toxic, water base acrylic paints which have 0 to low VOC's, all of which meet or exceed LEED standards. 20' + 20' + 15' + 15' = 70' room circumference
70' x 8' ceiling height = 560 sq. feet
560 Sq. Ft. divided by 9 (1 Sq. Yd.) = 62.2 Sq. Yds
Round up to 63 Yds.

The installation of Wallteriors Handcrafted wall coverings is just as important in the creative process as is the wall coverings. Wallteriors has provided some examples of installations that are recommended, but there are really no limitations. All installations are very simple in concept and actually are more forgiving than conventional wall covering installations. When you receive your order, it will be pre cut to the specific shape that is offered by the design you select. To install, each piece is glued on the back side with clear acrylic wallpaper adhesive and put up one by one to create a pattern. Installation concept is like paper Mache meets tiling. All designs do not have continuous patterns to match, unlike conventional wallpaper which are only offered in rolls. All edges are overlapped approximately 1/8 of an inch. Walls don't have to be perfect; in fact moderate texture can enhance many designs. Also wrinkles are ok. In fact during installation while the paper is wet you can push wrinkles in any design to create texture and drama. Wallteriors Designer Hector Romero believes "it's the imperfections that make each installation perfect". Use on walls, ceilings, niches or to cover and enhance architectural details. All coverings are cleanable and can be used in traffic areas. Each unit covers 30 sq. ft. pre cut to specified shape. A professional wallpaper installer will be more than happy to measure and install your selection and give you professional results.

Steps to Follow

1. Do install over wall blemishes and light textures as a great way to enhance the textural look if desired. Walls can also be smoothed and prepped for a flat look if desired.

2. Do not install Wallteriors wall coverings over existing paper or vinyl.

3. Enamels and slick surfaces must be sanded and primed

4. Use regular clear or pre-mixed vinyl adhesive for installation. Heavy-duty clear paste is our favorite: however, in bathrooms or in high humidity areas, vinyl type will work best. (Clay adhesives may stain) we recommend Roman Professional Ultra Clear Adhesive Pro 880 www.romandecoratingproducts.com. This glue is vegetable based and water soluble and meets or exceeds Leed Guidelines.

5. When cleaning, use a damp sponge with clean water to remove excess glue. A clear coat to protect is not necessary, however we have used water based clear-coats over the papers after they have been installed and they have worked out well, but this makes for a difficult removal.

6. We recommend that the installer not to try to flatten crinkles and creases. Use installer brush so as to not flatten. One may even add more texture during installation by gently pushing wrinkles into the papers with finger tips to the desired level while soft on the wall.

7. Inspect papers for color and texture variations. Spread the variations out to form consistencies within the work. The installer should be aware of this. All inspection must be done prior to installation for any recourse.

8. Double cutting the paper is at the installer's discretion. All our work is handcrafted and therefore, edges may vary slightly. We recommend overlapping. The great beauty of the product is that it is very forgiving and looks its best when it is imperfect. *Designs from our GUILD category require panels to be trimmed on sides.

9. Color and texture matching: All of our papers are hand crafted; expect natural variations in color and texture. These variations should be spread out and integrated before installation Color touch-up is available and is used at conclusion when the paper is dry. Use it on tears and edges if the base paper is exposed.

Wallteriors handcrafted wallcoverings have been made under the philosophy of being eco conscious and earth friendly for the past 24 years. Wallteriors has been operating with the planet in mind for many years before most companies were thinking about green manufacturing. All of Wallteriors Wall coverings products are created with no machinery or power tools. All of Wallteriors paints are mixed by hand, our designs are hand painted and then finally our wall covering is cut by hand. Our studios, located in Palm Springs, CA, take advantage of our dry desert environment which eliminates the necessity of any drying equipment and the power needed for artificial drying systems.

Paints, Paper and Sealant products

Wallteriors paints, sealants and glues are water based acrylic products. Wallteriors uses only non toxic mediums. All our paints comply with our strict local Air Quality Agency standards. In our county here in Southern California, Wallteriors and all other manufacturers are required to meet the standards set by our South Coast Management District whose standards are actually even higher than those of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

Wallteriors paint products contain zero to 50 g/l VOC's. Wallteriors main paint supplier, ICI Paints, was the first in the industry to develop water based latex paints and zero VOC paints. www.icipaintstores.com.

All graphic paints used fall under a different standards from LEED and South Coast Management District Rule #113/ VOC limit is 500g/l .Graphic paints we use are on the average 100 g/l well below limits. Wallteriors employs heavy Kraft substrates which have 47% recycled fibers, OCC (Post Consumer Waste): 25% and Internal waste: 22%. All our other paper products are 100% recycled. Wallteriors only purchases from local vendors in order to keep energy and resources required by shipping to a minimum.

Wallteriors recommends Roman Professional Ultra Clear Adhesive Pro-880 for installation which meets or exceeds LEED guidelines, it is a vegetable based and water soluble product. www.romandecoratingproducts.com

Even before we ever heard the term "environmental footprint", Wallteriors has been watching where it is stepping.

From our paint studios to our offices, Wallteriors has long been concerned with the impact we're making on the planet and the overall health of all our employees. The desert location of our offices and studios in Palm Springs, CA provides Wallteriors with a unique ability to operate our facilities with a minimum footprint on the land. During the months when we require cooling systems we now use evaporative coolers that run on low voltage motors, use recirculating water and save a great deal of electricity.

We are moving towards being a paperless office. With the use off computers we have minimized our need to file our daily paper work. We also are asking our clients and suppliers to communicate with us via internet for invoices, P.O.'s and other business forms to eliminate paper normally used in faxing.

All our lighting has been converted to T-8 fluorescent tubes with high efficiency electronic ballasts. By making this change we are saving over 40% of our lighting costs, we are lowering our cooling costs and using less power with bulbs that last longer while providing illumination that more closely resembles natural light than our old fluorescents.

Shipping & Packaging

All Wallteriors wall coverings are manufactured with American made materials here in our studios in Palm Springs, CA. Our client base is chiefly here in the U.S., we greatly minimize shipping costs and energy use. Most wall covering companies may have U.S. offices but manufacture or import raw materials from distant foreign countries. Also these overseas facilities generally have little or no production and emission regulations to uphold. The boxes and packaging we use are comprised of at least 40% recycled fibers.

We are fortunate that our local UPS facility is literally down the street which reduces energy use in sending our shipments.

Waste

All Wallteriors products are made to order so that each time there is little to no waste. We utilize our local recycling centers for all possible excess materials. Our surplus paints are either donated to a local charity which offers building materials to assist those in need and unusable excess paint is carefully allowed to dry before disposal to prevent leakage.

One of the best design features of our products also prevents waste of the product itself during installation. We encourage Wallteriors to be installed with our interesting pre-cut shapes. Our squares, rectangles or torn pieces drastically reduce the typical unused, excess material which is the byproduct of traditional wall covering. When installing standard "roll" wallpaper, the doors, windows and other architectural features one encounters become large areas of material which generally have to be discarded in order to maintain a pattern or even just the regulated seams. With the combination of Wallteriors system of "tiling" ones surfaces in pieces and our abstract patterns, one may even use small scraps to complete installations successfully. Leftover pieces may even be used for any future maintenance as one just glues a new piece of our wall covering over the problem area. You fix the spot and not the whole wall! Also, thanks to the textural aspects of most of our designs, labor and material preparations are greatly minimized.

Marketing Wallteriors Green

Recently Wallteriors sample department has developed a way to save 75% of the paper products used to present our wall covering samples in our catalogs. All our catalogs are assembled by hand and include real samples of our handcrafted wall covering. We also have moved away from the concept of traveling sales reps by opening our Wallteriors Las Vegas showroom at the Las Vegas World Market Center www.lasvegasmarket.com and establishing relationships with representative showrooms and dealers. By positioning our presence in a high traffic area with a built in visitor profile of design professionals we not only have increased business but have vastly reduced unnecessary energy use and the costly resources consumed by traveling. Our website, www.wallteriors.com enables our clients to keep up to date with our company's current products as well as proving to be a valuable sales tool.

24 years ago the word "green" was not considered. Back then, Wallteriors founder Hector Romero realized the importance of having an environmentally friendly work environment where his young children, who loved to come to the studio, could run around safely and without fear. Wallteriors wall covering proves that sustainable design can be beautiful. It is our hope that by providing some of our ideas, standards and discoveries that we live and work by that others may be inspired to not just jump on "the green bandwagon" but earnestly continue to work on improving the green standards of their home or business and hopefully, teach us here at Wallteriors how we can improve too.

We only use water based acrylic paints and sealers to create our papers so cleaning is simple as long as you follow basic common sense.

Water and a sponge will easily handle most cleaning issues. For a slightly more aggressive approach, terry cloth covered sponge, water with a small amount of clear eco friendly liquid dish soap. Very aggressive cleaning may damage finish.

For both of these situations, wring out sponge so that it is more dry than wet. Exposure to excessive water may loosen under adhesives and weaken paper materials.

Also keep in mind that with some of our unusual installation options and artistic techniques one may place a left over piece over a problem spot if necessary. You fix the problem not the whole wall. Commercial and hospitality clients really appreciate this option. Do remember to keep the touch-up paint(s) that are sent with each order. This paint is easily used to hide any marks or tears.
